Wages Report :

These classifications are defined by DES. They are the Unskilled Labour and Skilled Labour.
The Unskilled Labour is further divided into various ClassTypes.They are Class-A, Class-B, Class-C and Class-D.
Class-A consists of Digging, Harrowing, Interculturing, Irrigation or Watering, Ploughing, Sowing and Uprooting
Class-B consists of Manuring, Picking (Cotton), Reaping Harvesting, Threshing, Reaping Winnowing, Transplanting, Weeding.
Class-C Cattle, Sheep & Goat grazing.
Class-D Any other operations relating to Arecanut and Coconut garden, Harvesting in Areca & Coconut, Peeling the Coconut & Arecanut, Trimming & spraying in Arecanut and Coconut garden

The Skilled Labour is divided into Blacksmith, Carpender and Mochies.

Agricultural Census

Census means Agricultural Census and is conducted every 5 years.

Major size classes consists of
a)Marginal b)Small c)Semi-medium d)Medium e) Large

Marginal : An operational holding with area less than a hectare
Small : An Operational holding with area one hectare and above,but below two hectares
Semi-medium : An Operational holding with area two hectares and above, but below four hectares.
Medium : An Operational holding with area four hectares and above, but below ten hectares.
Large : An Operational holding with area 10 hectares and above.

Average Size of operational holdings for the particular class and year is calculated by
Sum of Area of holdings for a class and year divided by Sum of Number of Holdings for a class and year

Total of Average Size of operational holdings for a particular year and for all classes is calculated by
Sum of Area of holdings for all classes and year divided by Sum of Number of operational holdings for all classes and year

Percentage variation over preceding censuses is calculated by
((Value of selected year) minus (Value of previous year) divided by (Value of previous year)) multiplied by 100

In case of Size Classes:This is calculated by
((Value of Individual Size Class) divided by (Value of total size)) multiplied by 100

In case of Social groups:This is calculated by
((Value of individual Social group)divided by (Value of total Social group)) multiplied by 100
